Erik van den Top BE, BCIA, CAPP, CEOC, Cert. Mindfulness

Erik is a Functional Wellness Specialist and Professional Coach who combines biofeedback therapy, breathing retraining, lifestyle optimisation and mindfulness to help people restore health, wellbeing and performance.

On the programme, Erik facilitates seminars, provides report debriefs and individual coaching sessions and is available for specialist consults.

Book a specialist appointment with Erik, if you are struggling with anxiety, mood regulation, insomnia or any of the other condition listed below.

Good breathing and respiration (not the same thing) are foundational for health and vitality and are often a factor in range of health and wellbeing issues. Biofeedback is an evidence-based approach to restoring balance in your nervous system, develop greater awareness of how you respond to stress and to learn how to better downregulate, relax and recover. Good functioning, balance and resilience within our autonomic nervous system is key to optimal health and performance. This dysregulation of the nervous system is a significant contributing factor in a wide range of mental and physical health issues, including depression, anxiety, hypertension, autoimmune disorders, inflammatory system dysfunction, burnout, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, sleep problems (insomnia), irritable bowel syndrome and other medically undiagnosed symptoms (MUS). Through the two-way connection with our brain this dysregulation also inhibits optimal performance (at a cognitive, social and emotional level).

Appointments are generally in person at Erik’s practice in Parnell - Auckland.
